The NYM Academy is the ‘Ilm and Tarbiyah’ wing of NYM Ink, consisting of our weekly NYM ‘Ilm Circle, specialized brothers and sisters Tarbiyyah sessions, Mighty Muslimahs program, and regular Open sessions for the community.
A gathering of knowledge built on clear values
Launching in 2007, The NYM Online ‘Ilm Circle is one of the longest continuously-running online halaqat in Canada. The NYM ‘Ilm Circle is a unique opportunity to explore Islamic concepts in contemporary settings while receiving unique mentorship opportunities and benefitting from a team-based setting. Ilm circle students join from across Canada in convenient and accessible weekly sessions taught by Dr. Syed ibn Iqbal and a variety of guest teachers.
The Ilm Circle serves as the academic gathering, base, and tarbiyah process for students of knowledge who are actively pursuing the Dawah way of life. The ‘Ilm Circles is an essential part of an eco-system to create and establish a life inspired by the Quran and Sunnah.
Being sincere first and foremost, prioritizing the etiquettes of the student of knowledge, being respectful towards the teacher and fellow students, and maintaining a high standard when it comes to commitment, attendance, and participation – all these lead towards the goal of implementing the Quran and Sunnah.

A professionally crafted program, designed for young girls who will become the future of Islamic Work inshaAllah. The program is held on a professional online meetings platform weekly with the opportunity to participate in local events, conferences, workshops, and gatherings across Western Canada. The program is aimed for girls ages 10-15 years.
