NYM Ink is excited to invite you all to a fun filled guided snow excursion for everyone Saturday, February 29th! Whether you just finished midterm exams and are looking to de-stress during with friends or you want to bring the family out and try something new, this will be a wonderful outdoor adventure that will allow you to marvel at the beautiful creation of Allah (swt).
Join us for a group-guided tour and let’s enjoy the beautiful terrain that we’re blessed to live in. We’ll equip you with snowshoes and lead you through the beautiful pathways of Cypress Mountain!
The Cypress Mountain Nordic Area Hollyburn Ridge Snowshoe trail travels through beautiful old-growth sub-alpine forests and meadows. It’s a good route for beginners or first time snow-shoers, while still being challenging enough for a great workout with an amazing peak pay-off!
The trail has some ups and downs with some steep climbs, but is, overall, a beginner-friendly snowshoe trail. There are plenty of markers and the trail is well used so your chances of straying off-course are minimal, especially as we stick together as a group. If you’ve never been on snowshoes before, a trip out to the Hollyburn Mountain is a great place to see what the hype is all about for serene outing during the winter months!
The hike is open to all ages 6 and above. If under 16, we will require an accompanying guardian to be present.
Date: Saturday, February 29th 2020
Time: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (We ask that you arrive at 8:30 am sharp, don’t be late or you’ll miss the group!)
Hike Duration: 3 hours round-trip (up and down the mountain)
Meeting time and details will be provided to registrants via email.
Cost:
$30/person (age 9 and under)
$35/person (ages 10+)
Price includes snow shoe rental, guide, and a post-hike meal!
*All attendees are encouraged to bring along personal snacks to have along the hike and to eat at the peak such as trail mix, granola bars, fruit and a waterbottle. A full lunch will be provided at our meeting place once we have completed the trail!
Registration deadline is February 19th 2020! Each participant must register separately.
